The Northern Light Family Medicine and Residency program is seeking an Osteopathic Faculty Board Certified Family Physician (DO) to join our TEAM in the care of our community in Bangor, Maine. We are a team of 9 uniquely different, yet complementary Faculty Family Physicians, a Pediatrician, 5 integrated Behavioral Health Specialists, 4 FNPs, 1 CNM, a Pharmacist and a 10-10-10 unopposed residency program. We provide full-spectrum care in our outpatient clinic and newly modernized tertiary care hospital with a mission of caring for an underserved population and preparing Resident Physicians to practice rural family medicine.

We emphasize a strong and flexible faculty development plan. Faculty Physicians have a small clinical practice with over 70% of their time devoted to teaching and pursuing many of their diverse interests including: Acupuncture, Sports Medicine with NCAA Division I teams, Integrative Medicine, Clinical Research, Concussion Management, Community Medicine, Addiction Medicine, Osteopathic Manipulation, High Risk and Surgical Obstetrics, Advocacy, Physician Leadership, Performance Improvement, and Narrative Medicine.

With additional fellowships in NMM/OMM, Palliative Care, Emergency Medicine and Men’s Health, opportunity abounds! The environment is supportive and the residency program is respected throughout the institution, with our former Program Director serving as Chief Medical Officer for the hospital.
