The Associate Dean is a member of the Administrative Leadership Team of the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM), and may be appointed to provide leadership in the absence of the Dean at the VCOM-Auburn Campus. The Associate Dean is the principal medical education administrative officer at the VCOM-Auburn Campus and is responsible for the full range of program development, including curricular design and implementation, coordination of teaching, budget preparation, supervision of staff and addressing ways by which curricular content is taught, learned and assessed in the student’s achievement of professional competencies.

DO degree and/or PhD (or equivalent) from an accredited institution. Successful completion of an approved graduate program in education management preferred.
Eight years of successful teaching experience in a medical school and five years of successful administrative experience in higher education required.
