Candidates must be US citizens. This is a great opportunity for part-time and full-time Physiatrists at the Martinez VA Outpatient Clinic. The incumbent will largely focus on outpatient musculoskeletal and neuromuscular rehabilitation, with some backup coverage of the inpatient rehabilitation unit. Skills should include performance of peripheral joint, botulinum and trigger point injections, electromyography/nerve conduction studies, and inpatient rehabilitation consultation and coverage. Experience with acupuncture would be an added value. The incumbent will determine diagnoses, initiate treatments that emphasize restoration of function, prescribe and oversee comprehensive therapy treatments, and make appropriate referrals to surgical, medicine, and behavioral health specialties for co-treatment and diagnoses of neuromuscular, neurologic, musculoskeletal, and suspected mental health disorders. The incumbent will work with rehabilitation therapists, pain care clinicians, and other health care providers in assigned treatment teams to establish a comprehensive and integrated rehabilitation program for the Veteran. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Flexibility with schedule may be an option) Candidates must: 1) be a US citizen, 2) possess a current, full, unrestricted medical license in any state, and 3) be Board Eligible/Certified in Physiatry

Additional Salary Information: •26 days paid vacation (1 day accrued each pay period upon employment)/part-time physicians earn 1 hour of vacation leave for every 10 hours worked •13 days sick leave (1/2 day accrued each pay period upon employment, no cap) /part-time physicians earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 20 hours worked •10 paid Federal holidays •Competitive Salary •Malpractice protection with tail coverage covered by the Federal government •Annual Physician Performance Pay •Market Pay reviewed biennially for possible increase •CME- Possible $1,000 per year stipend + possible 1 week paid authorized absence to attend •No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
